What is an affiliate program?
An affiliate program is an agreement between you and Bright Ideas. Simply put, Bright Ideas will pay you a commission for digital sales from customers you refer to us.

What products are included in the program?
We offer commissions on ALL of our digital downloads, and Illuminations. This includes
· Illuminations, all years, all levels, CD or Download
· The Mystery of History Folderbooks,
· Christian Kids Explore Science Student Activity Books (Physics, Chemistry, Earth and Space, or Biology)
· Writer’s Workshop
· Any other E-Books and digital products.

How much will it cost me to join?
Absolutely nothing! There are no application fees, service charges, or other costs to join in. Just sign up and get started!

Who else sells your product or services?
No one else sells our main digital products. That’s the exclusive privilege of our affiliates. Illuminations, the MOH Folderbooks, and the CKES Activity Books are not sold wholesale or available from anyone else!

When can I expect to receive my commissions?
We pay our affiliates on a monthly basis, so you should receive a Paypal payment within 30 days of your first sale.

How long does it take to sign up?
Generally less then five minutes. After that, we’ll review your application and respond in one or two business days. |
How do I sign up?

How will you keep track of the orders coming from my site?
When customers click one of your personal affiliate links, it deposits a cookie containing your unique Affiliate ID on their computer. That cookie is read at the time of check-out, and our shopping cart service automatically credits the appropriate portion of the sale to your account. We look at those records monthly and make payments via PayPal.

How will I know how many sales I have referred?
Once you’ve joined, you’ll have access to the Affiliate Resource Center, which lets you view your visitor statistics and sales. Additionally, you’ll be sent an email every month with that month’s figures.

What is a realistic income I can expect?
That depends on how much energy you invest in marketing! Consider that the average commission for a copy of Illuminations is $49.50. If you sold 5 copies, you’ve already made nearly $250, sell 20 and you’re around $1,000! The sky's the limit.

How much will I be paid when I make a sale?
We give a generous 30% commission on every digital or Illuminations item you sell. Occasionally, we may offer contests or give bonuses which may increase the amount you make, but you’ll always have your 30%.

How will my visitors order?
Once they click on the link or banner we provide you, they will be sent to our website, where they choose which items they want in their cart, and check out. The secure transaction takes place on BrightIdeasPress.com and is processed using a secure socket layer (SSL). |
What about phone orders? How do I receive the commission I deserve?
If your customer mentions you to our sales associate, we’ll take care of making sure you get the commission you deserve. The purpose of the program is to generate income from streamlined digital sales; however we understand that some people are not comfortable ordering online, or may need to ask questions of a sales rep before purchasing.

Can I take orders directly on my site instead?
No. We’ve ensured that you don’t have to do the work of processing orders. Just refer them to us, and we take care of the rest.

How many of my referrals can I expect to purchase products on your site?
We have no idea! One thing to keep in mind is your website’s audience. If your traffic consists mostly of health enthusiasts or scrap-bookers, instead of, say, homeschooling parents looking for curricula, you’ll have a much harder time making a go of it.

How can I link to a specific product?
In the left column under the heading “Custom Tracking Links” click “Alternate Incoming Page Links”. Go to the BIP website and copy the link in your browser window to the specific downloadable product (IMPORTANT – Be sure to leave off the session ID)

Incorrect Example: https://www.brightideaspress.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4_46_47&products_id=53&zenid=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (LEAVE THAT OFF)
Paste your link under: “Automated Link Creation” and click “Create my Link”. Copy the Link in the field. It should look something like this: https://www.brightideaspress.com/store/affiliates/bipaffiliate.php?id=XXXX&url=2
You can now use this link to direct your referrals to a specific product.
