Tree for the Forest
(Ok, any head smacking from the team must be held until the end of this post)
It’s that time of year. I must come up with a list of things needed for next year, examine what worked or what didn’t work. I am in the zone of planning next years homeschool. Hey, the catalogs are hitting my mailbox, I start reading with gusto! Before I know it I don’t think I am teaching vocabulary this year. I might want to look into that. So I start researching vocabulary anything. Remember I am in the zone, not seeing the vocabulary tree in front me. It took about 2 days until my mind finally said, “isn’t there vocabulary in Illuminations?” (Ok insert the head smack here.) I don’t need a vocabulary program, maybe a vocabulary notebook to remind me that we are learning it within Illuminations.
So I pray as you start your lists and evaluations for what to do next year that you won’t miss the “tree” and get lost in the homeschool planning.
