Money Saving Thoughts and a Give-Awaystacey lane
My family reached a huge milestone a few weeks ago, February 4, 2011 to be exact. I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to yell “We are debt FREE” on The Dave Ramsey Show. (Yup – that includes our house!)
When I returned home I found a request from Molly Green, of Econobuster, wanting me to write an article for their Inspiration column. At first I was a little overwhelmed with coming up with words, but my friends encouraged me along!
Now that I have a completed article, I want to hear from other homeschool families out there. So for the next 3 weeks I am going to be giving away an Amazon gift certificate, a Molly E-book and another surprise!
The theme for this blog post: What do you do when you need encouragement to live within your means?
For us traveling the path of becoming debt free, it was not to lose hope. When things broke, kids got sick and funds were low or in other words when “Murphy tried to eat our emergency fund and move in” we needed to keep from losing hope and getting discouraged. I have found that God’s word, family and friends all played important roles in encouraging me through the very hard and difficult phases.
I can’t wait to hear specifically what you Ladies do for encouragement. Please share in the comments and on Friday, February 25, 2011 we will pick a random winner for a $10 Amazon gift certificate.
